Introduction - Ben Kiler

Hi there, I'm Ben.

I'm from Orange County, CA, where I spent roughly the first half of my life before moving to Temecula in 2010. I am a third year history major, and plan to get pursue a Master's or PhD depending on the career I decide to pursue.

The most fascinating part about history has always been how interactions across time and space have shaped our world. It is important not only to have knowledge of important historical events, but the events that prelude them, and the events that prelude these events. Environmental crises, racial divisions, and political strife are at the center stage of American politics, and I believe that we can come to a better understanding of these issues and how to resolve them by understanding how they came to be in the first place.

Environmental science has always been fascinating to me, especially given our species's track record of damaging nature over the last century and a half. I am excited to learn more about the issues affecting California and I hope I can use this knowledge to better educate others.
